Had an informal discussion with the line manager about the role and its challenges, and whether it would be interesting. I liked the company climate; the receptionist was very friendly, and everyone I interacted with (recruiter, assistants) was helpful, responsive, and attentive. The Basel office seems to have a casual dress code, and the atmosphere appears quite democratic at first glance.

The recruiting team isn't really a team, super unstructured. They don't share info or get involved much. The candidate experience could be way smoother if someone actually owned it start to finish. They tend to focus a lot on what you've done before, but don't really check if you'd fit the team.

Got an email from the HR recruiter a couple days after applying online. The recruiter was super friendly. We talked about my skills and what I'm looking for. At the end, she said I was good for a second interview with the hiring manager.
