The interview process was long but interesting and clearly laid out. We had an in-person interview with 2 firefighters who were very casual and easy to talk to. The fitness test was easy to prepare for and can be completed with a decent level of fitness.

The team was really nice and made me feel comfortable. I had to do a 10-minute presentation about accessibility. The last question was super technical, about websites. They got back to me with the outcome pretty fast.

First reach out to the outreach team. You'll attend 2 info sessions where they'll share tips and discuss the recruitment process and what a Firefighter does. After that, there's a group exercise and an individual role play, then a personal interview. Make sure to study up on the role (operational side, specialities, prevention) and the necessary qualities, skills, and attributes. You'll then take a verbal reasoning and simple math assessment. On the assessment day, you'll do a written assessment on a given subject (again, study the Firefighter role), a roleplay, verbal reasoning + simple equations, and a personal interview.

Technical Presentation

Invited to an interview, had to do a written test and a presentation with data I had received. Heard nothing back despite chasing a number of times. Really disappointing considering you put time and effort into producing something for no feedback back. Cheeky!
