First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lombard International.
Risk Analyst
I had a phone interview with Lombard and initially everything seemed positive. However, after the interview, I didn’t hear back from them for almost a month despite sending follow-up emails and making phone calls. since I received no response, I reached out to their HR manager on LinkedIn to inquire about the status of my application but instead of replying, she blocked me. This experience felt very unprofessional and left me with a negative impression of their recruitment process.

Tax Officer
I had one informal phone chat and then three in-person interviews at their office back in March 2024. They said I'd hear back within a week, but honestly, I never did. I sent a few follow-up emails, but still nothing. It was super disappointing and felt really unprofessional and disrespectful. After going through the whole process, they couldn't even manage to send a rejection email. Their recruitment strategy really lacks respect.
- Have you heard of Lombard International before?
- Tell me about tax updates in Luxembourg.
- What would your boss say about you?
Legal Counsel
I was approached by them through an agency and then interviewed with HR, then the would-be manager, and then one stakeholder who would be working closely with me. They were all very polite and professional during the actual interviews, but after the interviews I was essentially ghosted even though I reached out and asked for an update. Really disappointing but honestly made me feel like I may have dodged a bullet as it seems to indicate some level of unprofessionalism. After 3+ rounds of interviews I really think presumtive employers owe it to their candidates to at least clarify that they didn't get the job, especially when they are being interviewed for a position that would require them to relocate to a different country.
- What are your salary expectations?
- Are you really ready to move to Luxembourg?
Compliance
The interview process involved one round with the team. They asked basic questions about compliance knowledge. The interviewers were nice and approachable, and they really wanted to understand more about you as an individual and how you might fit within the team.
- Can you share an experience where you had to handle multiple tasks simultaneously?
