The interview included a recruiter, an engineer from production, and the R&D manager. It started with me talking about myself and how I got into my studies. Since it was my first job, they asked basic questions about processes to see if I understood the scope of the tasks. There were also some uncomfortable questions that I didn't let throw me off. For example, they asked how I react when I'm angry and how I'd handle a team member not listening, referencing my karate background. I initially felt uneasy about it, but it turned out to be unfounded as I was invited for a second interview and received an offer.

It was kind of a mess internally. First, a recruiter did a light screening. Then, a call with the VP of Sales. Then, I flew out to meet the VP of Sales and do a panel interview with HR, the President, the VP of Sales, and another drone. They really want to find out if you can handle internal turmoil and issues, as well as if you can travel a lot with nothing in the way of that.

It started with HR, then the future manager. They gave a detailed description of the company and Austria's role in the group, the family business values, introduced the manager, introduced the applicant, HR presented the position, asked questions, covered administrative details, explained next steps, and the timeline, then said goodbye.
