Sales Development Representative
I applied online and got a call back a week later. It started with a phone screening about my background and interest in the role. Then I had to do a writing sample, sending 2 outreach emails based on a customer profile. After that, a mock sales call was set up, with advice and the customer profile given beforehand. The last part was a 2-hour in-person meeting. First, 30 mins with the CEO and CRO, then 30 mins with the SDR Manager and VP Marketing, and a final 30 min coffee chat with current employees. Even though it was long, I liked it because I got feedback after each stage (when I asked) and felt supported. It seemed like they really wanted me to do well, especially the direct manager. EDIT: The VP of People said the team liked me and wanted to move forward with an offer, and asked for references. A week later, I got a generic email saying they decided not to proceed. I asked for feedback, and they got defensive and hostile about their process. They said they chose a more qualified candidate, but the posting was reposted the same day by the VP of People. This felt like a lie and says a lot about them. It seems like they make candidates go through a month of interviews, waste time, and lie. No transparency at the end, and their communication is terrible.
- What is the most difficult thing you have accomplished or worked on?
Sales Development Representative
I had an initial phone call with someone who was a few minutes late. They quickly ended the call, maybe for another meeting. They told me I was moving on to talk to a hiring manager. But then a few days later, I just got an email saying they'd gone with other people, and it didn't even have a name on it. It seems like working there might be like the interview process, not intentionally bad, but just not very put together.
- What makes Logrocket an appealing place for you to work?
Sales Development Representative
First, I had a call with the VP of Marketing, which was a fast-paced and intelligent conversation. Then, I completed a writing sample where I had to write a cold email. Finally, I went in-person for an interview with people from all levels of the sales team, including the C-Suite. There were 3 rounds, each with 2 people interviewing me.
- Can you do a mock cold call?
