I applied online for a sales engineering role at LogicMonitor. A recruiter reached out asking me to complete a pre-screen logic/IQ test. After passing it, the recruiter set up a pre-screen phone interview and then I had to take another, longer online technical assessment. The recruiter later told me the job was filled internally, but complimented my performance on the tests and interview and said they'd consider me for future openings. A few months later, I reapplied for the same job in a different city. The application asked if I'd taken the assessments before, which I had, so I indicated that. I was rejected immediately the next day, which confused me. I contacted the same recruiter to understand why. They promised to investigate my outright rejection despite my previous success on the assessments for the same role. However, instead of an explanation, I was ghosted by the recruiter and never heard back. My experience interviewing with LogicMonitor felt pointless, unprofessional, confusing, and baffling. I wouldn't recommend interviewing with them.

The whole interview process dragged on for over two months. I first connected with a recruiter from ClientSolv during the initial month. This was followed by a technical screening questionnaire, a 30-minute introductory phone call, a CCAT assessment, and finally a Zoom video interview with the hiring manager. After this, I was extended an invitation for an on-site interview. However, after waiting a week for scheduling details with no follow-up from my recruiter, the company reached out directly. They informed me, without explanation, that I wasn't a suitable fit for the Sales Engineering role, but suggested I apply for a development position, which was clearly beyond my qualifications. This felt like a way to dismiss me. I ended up spending another month repeating the entire process. Following another CCAT (which seemed to be monitored this time around), they expressed strong interest but then introduced a coding challenge. I've never encountered a coding challenge before and informed them of this. They assured me it was just to gauge my current abilities. The coordinator mentioned I could use any programming language, yet the challenge explicitly required a solution in Groovy. While I could easily solve it in Python, translating it into Groovy proved difficult given my lack of experience in that area. I anticipated being rejected, and despite performing well and eventually finding a solution, I was surprised by the lack of basic communication, receiving no email to acknowledge my time invested. Maybe I'll get a generic, predictable response here stating something like, 'Aw gee! Sorry not everyone makes it buddy!'

Started with a phone screen with the recruiter. Then had an online cognitive test that was timed. Followed by a timed online technical test. After that, I interviewed with the Hiring Manager. Then there was a proctored online cognitive test. Finally, I had 3 individual interviews with different people related to the job, each lasting 30-45 minutes. The last part was a sales pitch to the Hiring Manager, Director, and the 3 people I interviewed with previously.
