The interview journey, starting in July, had several steps. The Talent Acquisition team was great, always quick to respond, helpful, and clear about what was happening. They were pretty open about what to expect, when things would happen, and what was next. I got good feedback pretty fast after each stage too. The team was also super chill about scheduling during the summer holidays, which made everything go pretty smoothly.

The interview process was quite disappointing. It started with an initial interview with an external recruiter who seemed to think I was a perfect fit and passed my CV along to the HR team. Following that, I had an interview with the hiring manager and another team member. I felt the interview went well, but unfortunately, I never heard back from them, and the recruiter completely ignored my follow-ups. It's really a shame when companies ghost candidates who invested time in preparing and learning about the company. Honestly, it felt very disappointing and unprofessional.

It all started nicely, until I did some digging… The application process was smooth and I even asked for a third one, to speak to a colleague and I quickly got an oral offer for £60k basic salary plus £20k OTE PA. Yep! Until I received a dodgy email from their HR department from East Europe with a link to fill out a few onboarding forms and sign a contract with the wrong starting date and a few other forms in Slovenian, that had to be signed. You can imagine, that I was less than impressed. As it turns out, they are a very disorganised, incompetent company, that don’t have a clue what they are doing. Especially, when their excuse is to say, that their are not perfect and that it may happen, that OPPY’s might get assigned to a colleague, even if you already set up a meeting…funny bunch…no thanks!

I applied online and the manager for my department reached out really fast to schedule an interview for the next week. I had separate interviews with him and other department members. It was a pretty standard intern interview that lasted about 2 hours. After that, I didn't hear back for a few weeks, and I thought I didn't get the job even though I followed up via email. Eventually, HR called to set up an interview with a VP. I got the offer after meeting with him and started the following week.
