Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

It started with a 60 minute behavioral interview that felt like a casual chat. The interviewer mentioned they don't do trick questions and that their process is pretty standard, like other consultancies such as Point B or Slalom. They really emphasized their 48 hour response time, which they didn't end up keeping. After the behavioral part, there was a writing skills test, a general skills assessment, and then a final interview with case studies, all spread out over 3-6 weeks. They're looking for specific 'right' answers and a certain type of fit, even though most behavioral questions are open-ended. Interestingly, they interview people even without open positions, but you have to ask about it. You get chances to ask questions, but the interviewer couldn't even answer basic stuff like why the company was founded or how they track success.

Behavioral Technical

I had a quick chat with the recruiter, and they set up a meeting with a PM. We met at a cafe during lunch, but the noise made it hard to hear each other about half the time. I got there 15 minutes early, and so did the interviewer. He let me buy him a coffee since I was getting one anyway. For the first few minutes, he seemed a bit intimidated by me. He was watching my every move, like how I put my bag and coat on a chair, which felt weird. A few things during the interview made me question if I was even interested in the company. First, he mentioned he worked as a BI analyst on a project even though he didn't know anything about it beforehand and had a mentor teach him during the project. It felt like the company misrepresented his experience to the client. Second, when I asked him about the key qualities for a BA here, he said he wouldn't know because he's a PM, which confused me since he was interviewing for a BA role. He also said he worked as a BI analyst, so what was that then? Third, he seemed surprised by the cafe's noise, but it was lunchtime in a busy downtown cafe, so I'm not sure what he expected. Honestly, it felt like a waste of my time, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

I applied through LinkedIn and got an email invite pretty fast. First, I met two Associates for a chat about cultural fit since they really care about their vibe. They were cool. Then, I had a one-on-one with a Partner where we talked more about my experience; it was a good conversation. The last interview was with another Partner and the Managing Director. They gave me a case study to prep beforehand. In the interview, we went over that one, and then I got two more cases to figure out and present on the spot. It was intense but learned a lot. They also did a quick Q&A to wrap things up.
