First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LocusView.
Operations Analyst
It was an online interview with two people on the panel. They started by asking about my experience and some personal questions. One of them suggested I pursue a PhD. I felt it was an informal interview since I wasn't really interested in DSA-based optimization.
- They asked about data structures and algorithms.
Team Lead
The interview process started with an HR interview, followed by two professional interviews, and concluded with a final interview with the VP of R&D. The team was really welcoming and professional, and they gave me all the information I needed. I got a good sense of the company's product and the team's roles and responsibilities.
- Tell me about your past experience in similar roles.
Technical Solutions Engineer
It was a really unprofessional interview from the start. It was a late zoom call and the interviewers seemed uninterested. The panel was young, with only 1-2 years of experience, and they were clearly disengaged, rolling their eyes and looking around the room, even as I started discussing my background. There was no warmth, and the vibe was cold and unwelcoming, giving me a clear sense of the company culture. They struggled to provide clear answers to my questions and ended up asking me about the role they were hiring for, which felt backward. Honestly, they could have just asked if I was willing to be a client-facing technical support person and a salesperson, yes or no.
- Can you describe your approach to presenting solutions to clients?
Product Manager
It was a long and overly complicated process. First, there was an HR call with an entry-level HR manager. Then, I had a one-hour interview with the direct manager. After that, I was given a home assignment, which was fair. This was followed by a presentation of the assignment. Next, I interviewed with the product architect and the R&D director. Then, I had another HR interview, this time with a mid-level HR manager. Finally, there was an on-site HR interview with the VP of People.
- Can you discuss a problem you've encountered?
- What about a time you failed?
- And tell me about a success you've had.
