Sales Representative
Applied through a jobsite and was contacted by recruiter for a phone interview. Moved to the next level which was a facetime interview with local manager. He was 30 minutes late for the phone call only to find out he was shopping for a car and that's why he was late. He kept me on the phone for 1 1/2 hours to tell me all about himself. From there I had a video interview with his boss. Really great guy we talked for about an hour. I was told they were going to move quickly on this new role. This was back in December. I received an email on Christmas day asking if I could send any documents from awards I received from my previous employer (who I was laid off from). I thought this was a really strange request considering I was interviewing with companies for a much bigger role and pay. Got notice today that they were moving a different direction. Truth me told I wasn't going to accept the job anyway, but wanted to share my experience with this organization.
- Could you email documentation of any awards you received from your previous employer?
- I had to send photos of the awards I was given from my previous employer.
Digital Media Consultant
I was first contacted by the manager by phone after they found my resume online. That call lasted about 30 minutes and was to get a feel for my background. The second interview was in person, meeting the manager at a coffee shop. It's important to know this is a real interview and to dress appropriately, as I almost missed out on the third interview due to my attire. The third interview was at the office and included a 1-hour presentation. The atmosphere was professional and the team made me feel comfortable. They seem like good people to work with, but they do have high standards, so bring your best.
- Can you explain the difference between SEO and SEM?
- Tell me about your sales experience and background.
QA Analyst
I applied for the job on dice.com and then the HR called me to set up an interview with the Development Manager for the next day. That interview was good and productive. They told me all about the company and their goals and what they expected from me. Then they asked about my past work experiences and the type of projects I've done. After that, the same HR person called to let me know I was selected for the next round with the Senior Development Manager, which was a panel interview with three people. They asked the same questions as before and gave me some problem scenarios, asking how I'd handle them. They also asked about my career goals and if I'd be open to a supervisory role.
- The entire interview process was non-technical because they hadn't assembled the team yet.
- They lacked staff with the necessary expertise in my area to conduct a technical interview.
Digital Media Executive
I applied online and then a recruiter emailed me to set up a phone screen. After the phone screen, I had an in-person interview with a manager at the local branch. I also met a current sales rep during that visit, and the manager left so I could ask them anything. Following that, I met with a VP and another manager. I got the offer a week later.
- Can you describe your favorite past manager?
