Vice President
I went through several rounds of interviews, a total of 7 over 3 trips to their office. They told me I was one of their top two candidates. Then, I didn't hear back for a month. I called for an update and was told, "sorry, things are a little chaotic right now internally, please have patience with us." Another month passed. I called again, no response. I then received a generic letter from HR stating I didn't get the job. I emailed HR for feedback, but received no reply. It was unprofessional and rude, especially after I'd gotten so far in the process. It left me with a very negative impression of the company.

Grants Manager
I applied online on 7/19/23 and got an email pretty quickly for a 30-minute phone chat with someone higher up in the department. I set it up for 7/28/23. During the call, they went over what the job entails and asked about my past experience, my motivation for applying, and how I handle monotonous work. They also asked if I had any questions. They mentioned they were aiming to hire around late September and checked if that worked for me, which I confirmed. It's been over a month since the call, and I haven't heard back.

Project Manager
I talked to my mentor about my career goals, and he connected me with a colleague who mentioned LISC. I was interested, so he offered to reach out to my potential manager to see if they were hiring. About two weeks later, I got a call for a quick phone chat with my future manager. We scheduled an interview easily. On the interview day, I had a casual 20-minute chat with a program officer (who would become my supervisor) while my future boss was on a call. He was really friendly, and I felt comfortable sharing my experiences. Then, I had a final interview with both of them. They explained their vision for the company and what they were looking for in a candidate, and I shared my skills and how I could meet their needs. They were very receptive. I found out I got the internship that same week, and it's been great!

Program Officer
This is my second time interviewing with this org. I got to the final round for the last role and I'm about to get to the final round again for this role. It was three interview rounds total. They told me 4 candidates make it to the second round and 2 candidates make it to the final round with a senior leader. During the second interview, I had to do a presentation about the position. The process has been easy and fast, taking about 3-4 weeks for all three rounds.
