First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Loan Max.
Customer Service Representative
It was a zoom interview that felt like a waste of time, could have been a phone call. They asked simple questions about my experience, not about the job, and the interviewer seemed off, which wasn't fair.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
Customer Service Representative
I submitted my resume online on the 8th. Then on the 15th, I got a call from HR to set up an in-person interview with the Area Manager for the next day. The interview happened on the 16th at the Harbor City location. It was pretty relaxed, the manager was really friendly. We talked about my customer service and previous work history, what I expected from the job, and some company history. After that, I had to do a background and credit check. The manager said I'd know by the 19th if I passed, or they'd go with someone else. On the 19th, HR called again to say I passed the first part and needed to do a drug screening. I got the paperwork that day. Finally, on the 24th, HR called to say I passed everything and offered me the job. The whole thing took about 16 days.
- Can you walk me through your previous employment history and the roles you fulfilled?
- Describe a situation where you had to manage an upset customer who disagreed with a company policy. What steps did you take, and what was the result?
- What information do you have about our company?
Store Manager
Someone from corporate will give you a call. All you have to do is drop off a resume at a store and it can be scanned or faxed for you, no application needed. Then you will interview with probably an Area Manager.
- What are your strategies for handling stressful situations?
- Do you have any experience with collections?
Customer Service Representative
I had a phone interview and then an in-store interview. The people were really nice and it seems like a great company! I'm excited about the possibility of working here. The interview itself was pretty standard. They asked me questions to make sure I could handle the job's requirements and to get to know each other.
- Tell me about your experience with collections.
