Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Loadsmart.
Product Manager
Had two calls with HR folks, they knew a lot about the company, what we make, and our strategy. Got feedback quickly after the calls, which was nice. Overall, it was a good time!
- Can you discuss your previous experience as a PM?
- What do you know about Agile and related skills?
Product Manager
The whole selection process was really agile, with quick responses from the recruitment team and at least one stage per week. During the process, I had the chance to speak with a recruiter, two product specialists, a tech lead, the VP of Product, and the CPO. Most of the interviews were in Portuguese and English. The entire process is quite intense and gives the security that the company is really looking for the best candidates. Everyone seemed open to answering questions, and even though it's a role that involves relocation (in my case to a new city), the process made it easier to understand all the challenges and support the company offers.
- Could you describe your prioritization process, especially when faced with conflicting stakeholder needs and limited resources?
Product Manager
It was a long process: 1. Recruiter call; 2. Take home assignment; 3. Interview with the VP of Product; 4. Technical interview with a PM; 5. Interview with the founder responsible for product; 6. Interview with someone from engineering; 7. Visit to the Florianópolis office for the offer and to speak with a few more people. They ended up making an offer very similar to my current salary, but as a PJ (independent contractor) and without health insurance, which makes no financial sense for me. It felt like the Florianópolis operation is a way to save money.
- How do you collaborate with engineers and designers?
