Applied for an accounts receivable role in 2025. The manager was unprofessional, wearing a tank top and interrupting me. They wanted improvements in collections for high-volume invoices but seemed to lack a strategy beyond hiring more people. The manager told me I talked too much and didn't try to get to know me, so I didn't get the job. This company seems to be in a crisis.

I got in through a referral and the first step was a phone interview with HR. They did a really good job explaining the role and the company culture, which I found super professional and they gave me great feedback on next steps. After a couple of weeks, I had a second interview with the VP of the Region. This one was pretty intense but still professional, and they really dug into the specifics of what they were looking for. They also did a great job of talking about company values and how I could grow here. I haven't received an offer yet, but I have a positive impression of the company and would definitely accept if they offered me the position.

HR contacted me by phone and we set up an interview. The first interview was with HR, covering standard questions and a test on the application. The test was a bit tricky at first due to trade terms, but once I focused, it was straightforward. The second interview was with two friendly lead team members, where they asked technical questions. The final interview was with the manager, involving a conversation in English about both technical and personal matters. I received an offer about two weeks after the third interview. The entire process spanned approximately 6 to 8 weeks.

I went to a job fair on a Thursday and gave my resume to a Livingston's representative. The next Wednesday, a recruiter from NY contacted me, saying the representative was really impressed and wanted me to interview. The interview was set for the next day, Thursday, at 4pm. The recruiter told me to research the company and the role beforehand, which was a good idea because the first question in the interview was about the company! The interview took about an hour, and I called the recruiter afterward to update him. He said long interviews are usually a good sign. The next day, Friday, the recruiter called and offered me the job at $19+/hr.
