First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Living Proof.
Regulatory and Product Safety Manager
The interview process spanned from December to February. I went through about 4-5 interviews, and then was invited for an in-person interview at the office. I had to take a day off work to fly to Boston for this interview, which lasted around 5 hours. After this stage, there was a 3-week silence from the company, and the job was re-posted before I got a rejection email. The rejection cited insufficient years of experience, which was quite frustrating as it indicated a lack of alignment within the hiring team from the start. While the team was pleasant to interact with, the overall process was somewhat disappointing considering the time investment and travel required.
- Can you describe how you handled a legislative change that affected your products?
PR Manager
Had 2 Phone Calls and then a project assignment. It was a very collaborative and friendly conversation with the hiring manager and a direct report. They asked a lot about my experience with past jobs and my career oriented future.
- Can you describe your experience managing agencies?
- Tell me about how you've managed agencies previously.
Graphic Designer
It was planned as a two-part interview, but I only completed one round. We discussed my portfolio, I answered some questions about my qualifications, and I also got to ask about the company. The interviewer was friendly and provided feedback on my work.
- What experience do you have with packaging design?
Scientist
Applied online and then got a call for a first round interview with HR, the hiring manager, and the VP of Research. They called me back for a second round with the team. I had to drive and pay for parking, which was $18 and felt indicative of the company culture. The interview lasted from 9 am to 2 pm, and no lunch was provided even though they had catered lunch. Management seemed to take pride in setting unrealistic expectations, making people work late to meet them. It felt like an unhealthy workplace with employees seeming scared of management. They asked me to give a presentation, and during it, I noticed management nodding off early on. They asked strange questions, didn't listen to my answers, and repeated questions.
- Why are you interested in working for a shampoo company?
