First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Liverpool.
Sales Representative
You have a brief interview with HR, where they explain the job activities, work hours, salary, commission structure, benefits, etc. I don't remember if it was the same day or not, but they give you a psychometric test to evaluate if you're suitable for the position and in which area you fit best.
- Do you have work experience?
- What are your salary expectations and workload expectations?
Area Director
You go through 3 interviews (HR, direct boss (area director), and executive director) and a psychometric and reasoning test. The tests take a good amount of time, so book time for them. The management team is friendly, they usually look for 'old-fashioned' qualities like job stability and consistent results; if you've changed jobs a lot, they will question it.
- How would you develop the area?
- Why have you changed jobs so much (5 jobs in 15 years)?
Interior Designer
The first step involves a conversation with the HR manager who will ask you some basic questions to get to know you and your background. I decided not to continue with the process after that because the work hours didn't match what I was looking for.
- Tell me about your performance in your previous job.
- What tasks did you carry out in your past role?
- What are your areas for improvement?
Visual Merchandising Advisor
It started off well and was quite fast, but in the second stage, they modified my job offer. They changed the zone and working hours but kept the same salary. This made me reconsider continuing with the selection process. I decided to proceed, and in the 3rd stage, they didn't respect my availability for the next interview. A lot of information I had given to HR wasn't passed on to the next department, causing me a time conflict which made me look bad. They were intrusive with my activities to the point where I felt uncomfortable and questioned if this would be a good company to work for, considering work-life balance.
- Who do you live with?
- What do the people you live with do for a living?
- What were your responsibilities in your previous job?
