First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LiveFlow.
Software Engineer
The process started with a quick screening interview, then I got a take-home assignment that was pretty well put together. It wasn't super hard, but it took some effort to really grasp the algorithm and the context. After that, I had a really respectful and empathetic conversation where I explained my approach and reasoning. Next, I had to present a project I was mainly in charge of. Looking back, I realize I could have done a better job showing my impact, especially around teamwork, leadership, lessons learned, and results. I also didn't use structured methods like STAR or CAR, partly because I wasn't as confident in my presentation skills as I should have been, but I'm working on that. If I had moved forward, there would have been two more steps: one about my career path and a final chat with the founders. I'd totally recommend this company for its great work environment. All the best to the team.
- Tell me about a project where you led. How did the company respond to your decisions?
Senior Software Engineer
The interview process consisted of five total rounds, with a typical waiting period of 5-7 days between each stage. It was a pretty standard process. It included an initial screening call, a take-home technical assessment where I had to review and improve sample code via a pull request, and record a video explaining my changes. There was also a session where I presented a past project I worked on, and a few more general "tell us about yourself" type interviews. After the final round, they said I wasn't a full "cultural fit" and didn't offer any further feedback, which was ironic considering they sent a detailed feedback survey about their process.
- Can you describe a significant project you led, including its design aspects?
Software Engineer
The interview process was generally okay. I submitted the take-home challenge within a week. However, the feedback process could be better. After I sent the challenge, I waited about two weeks and had to message them myself to find out how it went.
- Can you share some of your previous work experiences?
