First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LittleThings.
Marketing Director
Had a super quick screening call with HR. It was a chill chat and mostly just high-level info. Then there was this short writing test I sent back ahead of schedule. Weirdly, I never got any follow-up after that, which was a bit of a surprise considering I had a referral.
- What makes you enthusiastic about Little Things?
Marketing and PR Manager
I got contacted right after I applied and we scheduled a phone interview. It was super short, only 10 minutes, and I didn't even get a chance to ask anything. They mentioned I'd get an assignment and then an in-person interview. I had to chase them to get the assignment. I sent it back on time, but then... nothing. No response, even after I followed up three times.
- Walk me through your past work experience.
Sales Account Executive
I was interested in interviewing because I follow LittleThings. The in-person interview was with a senior leader and a senior team member from the sales team. The senior leader was nice but didn't answer some basic questions about the direction of brand sales and product offerings. She seemed smart but not that savvy in digital media sales and market demands and competition. The team member was insightful and seemed passionate about her role and the sell. I couldn't see it being a good move for anyone who wants to stay on the cutting edge of innovative products and targeting capabilities. A few friends in the industry had a similar experience.
- What strong relationships do you have in the industry?
- Have you ever sold Native content?
- What are your thoughts on working at a fast-paced startup?
Executive Producer
I interviewed for the role a few weeks back and had a pleasant experience. Everything went smoothly. I felt comfortable and at ease during the interview and got a good feel/vibe for who Little Things is as a company after speaking with their head of recruitment. I also spoke with their EIC who gave me a great perspective on the creative side of the business. Hoping to be considered soon for another role down the line as it seems like an exciting place to work for :)
