First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LittleStar ABA Therapy.
RBT
The interview was easy and relaxed, and the whole process didn't take too long. The interviewer was nice and seemed interested in getting to know me. For the most part, the process was pretty straightforward.
- What tasks are you comfortable performing?
RBT
The interview process started with a phone interview, followed by an in-person interview. The in-person interview was quite long, lasting about 60-90 minutes. They asked me to watch some videos about ABA on my own time before the interview and then be ready to answer questions about them during the interview.
- Can you share your experience?
- Do you want to share some personal information?
- What motivates you to work in ABA?
Therapist
So first they had me answer questions about my resume and just general questions about my strengths and weaknesses. Then they taught me some ABA principles and demonstrated some discrete trial instructions. After that, they showed me how to do a discrete trial and then had me do one myself. Oh, and before the interview, they sent me a video and some info to review, and they asked me questions about that too.
- Could you share three strengths and three weaknesses you have?
- What are the four functions of behavior?
- What does Sd mean?
Behavior Therapist
The interview process might seem a bit daunting if you haven't worked in ABA before, like me. BUT, the person handling the hiring is fantastic and really makes you feel at ease. You'll participate in a simulated therapy session where they'll show you how ABA is done. The interview itself took about an hour.
- Can you share an instance where you had to think quickly on your feet?
