Applied online and received an email for an interview. I picked an interview day and time through a link in the email. It turned out to be an interview with one other candidate. We were shown around the store and asked questions during the tour. I was prepared for a one-on-one interview and felt like I wasn't interviewed properly myself, and it wasn't what I expected at all. I'm still waiting to hear back from the company.

The interview felt more like a chat than a formal sit-down. The manager wanted to know about my customer service background, when I'm free, and if I'm okay with selling alcohol and checking IDs. They were curious about how I interact with customers, how I handle stress, and how I keep the store looking good.

I had an on-site interview where they asked me some questions about what I thought I'd be doing in the store. They also asked about wine recommendations for a dry white. I got a tour of the place too. I could ask questions about the job and what it involves.
