Weirdest experience, 6 out of 7 interviews were great and most were interesting and helpful, but then I was ghosted. No feedback from the company or recruiters. It's strange, the value proposition is relevant but it's an unambitious company looking for only marginal revenue growth in 2026.

I applied on their website. First, I talked to the recruiter about the job, and they confirmed the salary and mentioned they needed a strong senior engineer with leadership skills. Then, I had an interview with the hiring manager where we discussed my Java experience and past projects. After that, I took an online Java/SQL test on TestDome, which was easy. Next, I interviewed with the VP of Engineering about my role approach, past contributions, and using AI. The VP was nice and gave me insight into the engineering department. During this time, the recruiter messed up the salary and said they could only pay half of the original offer. I mentioned we confirmed it multiple times, and they were unprofessional. I suggested a lower rate, which they accepted, and we moved on. The final interview was with the product manager, a quick 30-minute session about handling AI contributions from colleagues and details about product features I built. The PM said they had more questions but ran out of time. After the interviews, I didn't hear back for a while. I followed up, and after another week, I got a generic rejection email saying they chose other candidates. I asked for feedback, but they didn't respond properly. It felt like a waste of time (over a month), and I suspect the salary issue was the real reason. My advice is to be cautious about their salary offers and professionalism; they might waste your time.

This was an unprofessional startup company. The first interview was a phone screen with HR, which went well. Then, a second 30-minute phone interview was scheduled with the CFO. They picked the call time, but the CFO was 15 minutes late and had to end the call early. It felt very disrespectful of my time, and I didn't get to say much. She said because of the lack of time, we'd need to reschedule or maybe meet in person. I never heard back.

They really focused on making sure I'd be a good fit for the company. They asked about things I've accomplished and hypothetical 'what if' scenarios. There were 4 rounds total, and I met with peers, the CFO, and the CEO. I was also encouraged to ask them about the company's vision and plans.
