Got a text about the interview, which was cool cause my schedule is packed and it's loud where I'm at. Learned a bunch about the company and what they do around Kaysville UT. They really own the market for at least one of their main products. Their parent company, Drew Industries, seems legit. Some questions were totally off from the job posting and my resume, more about building construction. They seem to need someone good at building construction right now. Their equipment and operations don't seem to have a lot of maintenance needs for a full-time tech. I told them to keep my resume handy if needs that match my experience come up. The location is perfect for me.

I had a phone interview with HR that was pretty quick and to the point. A week later, I followed up and got offered a second interview. The second one was in person with the HR Director, and they asked me directly about how I handle stress, multitasking, prioritizing, and interruptions, mentioning the company is refocusing on employees first. They said they'd get back to me, but I didn't hear anything. I followed up again after two weeks and found out they're waiting to hire an HR manager/director before hiring HR reps. It's been two months, and still no word. Honestly, it feels unprofessional to be interviewing people if they aren't ready to hire.

I went through 2 interviews and a job shadow. The job shadow was great because it showed me what the job really entails. It made me really like Lippert and want to work there. The staff was super friendly and positive. They seemed to get along well with not much conflict. Overall, it was a good experience. The only thing I'd change is making sure people have dedicated interview time scheduled. It felt a bit disorganized waiting for managers to show up. Some people were in meetings, and I had to wait a while to be seen or interviewed by different people than expected. It's not a huge issue, but better planning would make it perfect.

I had a phone interview first, then a teams call with the hiring manager, and after that they invited me for an on-site interview. The on-site interview wasn't very organized, and the tour was awkward because of loud music making it hard to hear the hiring manager. The hiring manager also mentioned expecting at least 50 hours of work per week from engineers. After the on-site, I wasn't interested anymore.

  • Could you share an instance where you faced a challenge you didn't know how to address, and detail the steps you took?
