It was a long process, typical for behavioral health jobs. You deal with different people, so they want to ensure you're ready. First, I filled out an application, taking about an hour, asking about my experience with recovery, medical records, insurance, and HIPAA. Once I got a callback, we had a 30-minute phone screen about my recovery background and phone sales experience. A recovery background helps with understanding the process. Then, I moved to a mock call. The hiring manager prepped me well, and if you do your research and listen, you'll do great. They really set you up for success. After the first mock call, they gave feedback on what they liked, what could be better, and what they wanted to see more of. If you like feedback, you'll appreciate this part; it's thoughtful and useful. Based on that feedback, they scheduled a second mock call to practice, which also served as another coaching session. I can't say enough good things about this part; it should be standard practice everywhere to see the day-to-day. After the second mock call, they set up my final interview. I withdrew my application because I got another offer, as this is a sales role and sales isn't my strength, but they were gracious and supportive. I'd love to work with them somehow in the future.

It was a two-step process, with the second being a 'mock group' session. They made the process very easy and professional. I'm really hoping to hear back, though it's only been a few days. The interviewer mentioned that the taped 'mock group' would be reviewed by Therapists at the main facility, and if they were interested, I'd need to provide three professional references.

This thorough process is good for ensuring quality therapists join the program. Unfortunately, after completing all the interviews, I was informed there wasn't enough work in my area to hire me, though they hoped that might change.

I had a Zoom call with a recruiter and then a mock group session via Zoom. The interviews were pretty straightforward and they made the process quite easy. I actually liked this interview more than any other I've had, even though I didn't end up getting the job.
