This was by far the strangest interview experience I've ever had. The questions they asked initially seemed straightforward, but when I tried to ask my own questions, I couldn't get a clear answer from the assistant directors. Specifically, I asked about behavior reports and if children need to be potty trained by a certain age, and neither question received a simple 'yes' or 'no' response. As a teacher, I feel these are crucial points to clarify during an interview. I gently explained why these questions were important to me, and I could see from the assistant director's expression that she wasn't interested and that a job offer wasn't likely. That was fine with me, as having a supervisor who avoids answering important questions is a past nightmare I'd rather not repeat. They requested five references (two managers, one co-worker, and two spiritual), which feels excessive, especially since they wanted them before the in-person interview. Typically, references are requested after an interview and contingent on moving to the next step. Additionally, they repeatedly pushed me to consider a different job position I hadn't applied for and wasn't interested in. Even after I clearly stated my lack of interest, they continued asking questions related to that role. It was a very peculiar process.

Got a text from a recruiter to set up a phone interview, then I went in for an in-person interview at the school. After that, I was scheduled for an observational interview in a classroom.

This was a very polite and heartfelt interview. It truly felt like they were interested in getting to know me as a person and my testimony. The interviewer even asked for prayer requests and prayed at the end, which made me feel like I could be a part of this company.

I had phone call interviews and then a video interview. The interviewers were wonderful, and it was a great experience. The leadership team on the people and talent side is great. The phone interviews were about 40 minutes.
