The interview process kicked off well, with easy scheduling and good communication from the team. While I wasn't totally sure about all the steps, the recruiter was initially responsive. I did a take-home assignment and then a presentation, which took me about 10 hours to research and prep, and I presented it to the team. After that, the recruiter said I'd hear back the next week after they finished more candidate presentations. And then... radio silence. No updates, no feedback, no rejection—just complete silence after three rounds, including a really time-consuming take-home. It felt unprofessional and honestly pretty shocking to be treated like that, no matter the outcome.

I was ghosted after the recruiter screen. They said a hiring manager interview would be scheduled, but I never heard back. I emailed the recruiter three times with email tracking, but they never responded. It was a waste of time. I've also shared this experience in product communities, and people are aware and won't be applying.

Presentation

The initial interviews were ok, totally fine. But the take-home assignment part was kinda iffy. It asked me to present a new feature for Linktree, you know, like a full walkthrough and a prototype if I wanted. Honestly, it took me a whole day to do it. Feels like these kinds of assignments are too much and don't really show how you solve problems, just how polished your work is.
