First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Linksys.
ECommerce Manager
The interview process had 3 steps. By the second interview, they mentioned they weren't considering any other candidates. I talked with HR, my direct manager, and a coworker. I received a job offer with a salary much higher than I had requested.
- Can you share details about your past experience?
- What are your career aspirations and what are you seeking?
Channel Sales Manager
The interview process started with a chat with the hiring manager, followed by two more interviews with the sales support manager and a field rep. The first meeting with the hiring manager was kinda weird because of the long pauses, so I was actually surprised they let me move on to talk to the support manager. The chats with the field rep and support manager were the most honest about the job and what it's like working at Linksys Cisco. Things moved pretty fast between interviews. After the third interview though, the next steps were unclear and kept changing, and then Linksys just went silent even though I reached out a few times. When I finally got in touch with the hiring manager, I found out the process had changed again and I didn't make it to the next stage. I was bummed about the lack of communication and it made me wonder if that's how the workplace is too.
- What are your passions outside of your professional life?
- Which professional experience brings you the most pride?
Software Engineer
First, there was a phone screen with a recruiter that focused on my experience. Then, I had a one-hour Zoom interview with the Engineering manager, which was entirely behavioral and felt pretty relaxed.
- What's your expected graduation date?
- What makes you want this particular role?
- Are you familiar with DevOps tools?
Customer Service Representative
This was a good interview experience for someone like me who is seeking their first job. I plan to keep practicing and won't give up until I'm hired. I wish the questions were easier for inexperienced candidates, but I get that they need someone who is a good fit for the position.
- What would you do if you encountered an angry customer?
