Got an email from LinkedIn recruiting about a Software Engineer In Test role for the Mountain View/ San Francisco office. After a week, I had an HR screening. Once I passed that, they sent me stuff to prep for the phone interview. The HR person explained the whole process and what to expect in the phone interview. LinkedIn recruiting is pretty helpful and easy to get a hold of. The technical phone screen had a coding algorithm question. My advice is to check out Glassdoor and careercup, and practice LinkedIn coding questions, as you'll likely see something similar.

So first I had a quick phone chat, not technical, with the hiring manager. Then they wanted me to come in for a 3-hour onsite interview. But the day before, the recruiter called to say it's been cut down to just 45 minutes. When I got there, a couple of engineers met me, and they seemed a bit lost, looking for rooms right when the interview was supposed to start. The technical stuff was pretty easy, honestly. If you know your basic data structures, algorithms, and Big O, you're probably fine. It wasn't nearly as intense as Google interviews. The interviewers themselves were really nice and professional. Later I got feedback that my technical skills in C++ and scripting were limited, which led to a rejection. It's kind of funny because the job description specifically mentioned needing C++ experience.

I applied through university. The first round was of coding from hackerrank. 3 question of coding in which two of them were easy. After a month I got a reply from LinkedIn that I have been selected. Then next interviews were scheduled after a month from the date when results were announced. All were telephonic interview. Got call on Skype. Second round was technical and coding they tested my testing skills as well. Third round was also coding and here my knowledge about algorithms were tested. Then fourth round was full of technical question and no coding as we were running out of time. Then I never got a call back from them about the result not even a yes or no. I waited for a month but didn't get a call. They could have shown some courtesy by replying to me with a yes or no. Even the interviewee time is precious. Since I did well so was expecting a call.
