I went through all the steps of the process, but when it came to the final stage, I didn't hear back for months. After a long time, I was told I didn't get the position, and there was no explanation or feedback as to why.

I applied online and got a screening call from the recruiter, they were nice and told me about the process. Then I had two rounds: first, an AI coding interview on CoderPad, where I did medium LeetCode problems on strings and graphs. Second, a technical interview with the intern manager, where we talked about Graph ML, Generative AI, and my research and resume. The whole thing was pretty well-organized with good technical questions and it went smoothly.

The interview process can vary by company and role, but generally follows a similar pattern. First, there's a greeting and introduction where the interviewer introduces themselves and explains the interview flow. Then, the company and position are introduced, covering culture, team, and goals. Next, questions about your resume and work experience will be asked, focusing on past responsibilities, experiences, and successes, with requests for specific examples. They'll also assess your technical and personal qualifications, asking job-specific questions and about your strengths and weaknesses, as well as your motivation. You'll have a chance to ask your own questions about the company or next steps. Finally, the interviewer will summarize, explain the next steps in the selection process, and when you can expect feedback, before ending with a thank you and farewell. The whole process might differ slightly depending on whether it's in-person, phone, or video. Being prepared and open to questions is key.
