Software Engineer
I went through the interview process in Nov 2025, and it lasted about six weeks. It started with a recruiter call, just a standard chat about the job and my background. It went well, but took a long time to get a response after that. The hiring manager was great though, and usually I heard back within 24 hours after each round, except for that first one. The next interview was a video call with the tech lead, another behavioral and experience chat. It was pretty chill, mostly talking about my experience and the role, with some good tangents about tech stuff. Then there was a two-part panel video call. First, a technical panel with a quick code review and a system design interview where I had to design a feature based on vague instructions. They were short on time, but it felt like they were testing my concepts, which was cool since I was rusty on Python syntax and used pseudocode. The last interview was in person at their office. We did a tour, and I got to ask questions to different teams. The technical part was longer this time, also intentionally tight on time, and it was in TypeScript. It was presented as a code review, but involved about an hour of pair programming on my laptop to refactor a half-finished class into code that could go into production. I thought it was a good way to show my skills. Honestly, most of the interviews felt more like casual pair programming sessions than formal interviews, which was awesome. They really dug into my resume too, asking great questions that let me highlight my strengths. I got an offer quickly with a nice note from the tech lead and had about 3 days to decide, which I did.
- Could you review and refactor this old, messy, and slow Python function that has no documentation?
- Design a feature and list its requirements, based on a vague description you're given.
- Review and refactor this old, messy, and slow TypeScript class that has no documentation, making it production-ready.

First, I had a recruiter screen. Then, I interviewed with the hiring manager and director, covering behavioral, technical, and resume questions. After that, I had a technical interview with the team, which involved more technical questions and a small code review exercise. Finally, there was a behavioral interview.
- Can you explain the difference between SQL and NoSQL databases?
Data Scientist
I had 30 minute interviews back to back with 3 team members, including the hiring manager. They asked me in detail about my past experiences that were relevant to the role, and also some tech-related behavioral questions like what I would do if I got stuck on a problem – ask for help or figure it out myself.
- Given a 100-storey building, how would you efficiently determine the floor from which dropping a phone would cause the glass to shatter?
Security Engineer
The process was put together well and the company goals and job requirements were shared in a lot of detail. Everyone involved in the interview process was professional and was a good representative of the business. It was one of the better interview experiences I have had during my job search.
- Can you describe your experience with GRC compliance, vulnerability management, and SIEM tools?
