Research Assistant
I had to apply and send my resume, then I had an in-person interview with the research coordinator. The coordinator asked me questions to see if we could work together on his project and asked about my programming skills.

Police Officer
So first you have a panel interview with some officers and admin people, and if you pass that, they give you a packet. Then you gotta do a background check and a psych exam with a psychologist. No lie detector or PT test though.
