First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lime.
Data Scientist
I applied online and a recruiter got in touch to set up a call with a Data Analyst. We talked about basic ML and stats, and then I did some SQL questions on Coderpad. After that, I had a round with a Software Engineer where I only got coding questions, specifically using OOP on Coderpad. I haven't heard back since the last interview, and my follow-up didn't get a response, which I found unprofessional.
- What's the difference between a Z test and a T test?
- Define P-value.
- Explain Type I and Type II errors.
Data Scientist
The interview process started with an HR screen, followed by a meeting with the hiring manager. After that, there were back-to-back interviews with various people from the teams I'd be collaborating with. Some of the interviewers seemed a bit reluctant to be there, and some seemed to lack experience in conducting interviews, asking very direct questions with no follow-up and being very specific about the expected answers.
- How would you initially analyze a given data set?
Data Scientist
This was a preliminary HR phone screen, the first step in the interview process. It wasn't particularly challenging. You just need to be prepared to discuss your resume. They'll also ask some basic questions, like if you're open to relocating. The HR person was quite pleasant and approachable.
- Can you walk me through your resume and answer questions based on what you've written?
- What motivated your decision to apply to [Company Name]?
- Are you currently considering other job offers?
