First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lima One Capital.
Asset Manager
The interview process started with a phone screening interview, which was pretty standard. Then there was a second interview via Zoom with two interviewers, which went really well. The third interview, however, was a bit of a mess. It started 5 minutes late with only one interviewer present who seemed combative and asked rapid-fire questions. When the second interviewer finally joined, they barely spoke. They ended the 30-minute interview early, with one interviewer saying "you have to hit the ground running and be a real self starter to survive here." After two weeks of no response to my follow-up emails, I sent a final email stating I was no longer interested due to the poor communication. I then received an almost instant reply with an excuse about crossed wires. While there are good people there, it seems like a poorly run organization with high turnover.
- Can you describe your experience managing difficult loans or borrowers who don't communicate?
Multifamily Analyst
Applied for the role and got a call about it pretty fast. Had a 35-min chat, felt good about it, but then waited two weeks just to get rejected. What a joke of a company.
- Can you describe the types of projects you've been involved in?
Anonymous
Everyone was super nice, and the interview process was pretty chill and not uptight at all. It felt easy-going. They ask pretty standard questions, but they really like it when you know a lot about the company. You can tell the core values are a big deal, and if you show you're proud of the company, it definitely gets noticed.
- What are the usual questions asked in an interview?
Operations Analyst
The hiring process at Lima One Capital moved pretty fast. HR was super responsive to any questions or worries. The interviews themselves were manageable, and they didn't penalize you for not having a ton of experience.
- Can you tell me about your understanding of the current real estate market?
