First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lilium.
Recruiter
Had two Zoom interviews remotely, then a f2f in Munich. I was invited to Germany for a f2f but didn't get the job because I didn't have enough background info on Lilium. Honestly, I don't get why they didn't check this before I flew to Munich?? Like, how much do they expect me to know beforehand? I talked about the product, competitors, and recent key hires. The rest I figured I'd learn during induction. Quick tip for recruiters interviewing recruiters: try to make it less robotic! Let the conversation flow instead of just hitting me with generic competency questions. Felt like I wasted my time traveling to Munich just to be rejected for a vague reason.
- Can you share an instance where you managed a difficult stakeholder?
- Could you list Lilium's investors?
- Describe the most challenging role you've ever recruited for.
Senior Recruiter
I had a zoom interview which was with the recruiter, and then I had a face-to-face interview at their offices with the hiring manager and another team member. I thought the interviews were really good and challenging. I wasn't offered the job in the end, but the recruiter called to let me know why. I'm still very excited about the company and will apply again.
- What makes you want to come work for lilium, and what's driving your interest in joining us?
- Can you tell me about the air taxi market and the players in it?
- What do you know about the companies that are active in the air taxi market?
Recruiter
Absolute time wasters - recruitment process: Poor - Appreciate they are a start-up (ish) but looking at the people they have onboard leading recruitment there is no valid excuse to string someone along for 2 months...
- Do you really want this job?
