The interview process was quite lengthy, involving several stages. While the interviews were presented as casual, the interviewers were quite serious. It's important to provide concise, formal answers. Candidates are expected to show a lot of enthusiasm and commitment, making salary negotiations difficult, as asking for market rate pay can be seen as a lack of passion. Some of the discussions and questions raised concerns about the working environment, suggesting issues with technological direction and interpersonal relationships. The company's passion and commitment were not reciprocated, as the rejection was an automated email with no personal feedback, which felt disrespectful given the time invested in preparing for and attending the interviews. This experience made me question the company's true nature, which contrasts with their online marketing. Candidates should carefully evaluate if Lilium is the right fit and ask thorough questions during the process.

First, I had an introduction with HR. Then, a technical interview with two main colleagues. After that, a cultural fit interview with someone who has been in the company for several years and understands the company culture and how people work together. Next, there was a Bar raiser interview to assess additional knowledge around the area being worked in. Finally, a Final Interview.

The interview was deep and very technical. It also required a test to be made in preparation. The test required making a full project plan with very limited information. There were several rounds of interview and the whole process took quite long.
