I had one pre-screen interview with a recruiter, and then another team interview before the hiring manager interview. The interview with the hiring manager did not happen because the position was cancelled. Communication with the recruitment team was very good throughout the process. Everyone was very professional and sold the company well.

I reached out to the head of people at Lilac, and she immediately forwarded my resume to the team. They set up an interview for a week later, which was right in the middle of the holidays. It started with a quick phone interview, then a zoom interview with a manager. A week after that, I had another zoom call with the entire team. The final step was a lab walk-through with the CEO and my potential day-to-day supervisor. They were really good about communicating throughout, and things moved pretty quickly. Overall, it was a great experience.

After the initial interview with the VP of Engineering, she mentioned that the next step would be interviews with engineering team members the following week. However, I never heard back from her or the company. I reached out twice, once a week later and again two weeks after that, but received no response. I was completely ghosted with no courtesy email.

Behavioral Presentation Group

Started with an intro call, then a virtual chat with the hiring manager, followed by an onsite visit. The onsite part felt a bit old-school with three panel interviews, plus some time with the hiring managers. They asked situational questions. Everyone was nice and made me feel welcome.
