Product Manager
It was a six-stage interview. The first three stages were automated with video questions and online tests, no human interaction. Then, a quick 30-minute chat with two nice senior PMs. After that, a home assignment where I had to write a product sense style PRD for a random app, following very specific instructions. I didn't get the job because I didn't include a competitive analysis, even though the instructions didn't really provide a space for it and the other questions were super focused.
- Choose a product and describe a feature you'd add to it.
- For a product you enjoy, outline a new feature.
- Select a product and propose a feature design.
Product Manager
After the initial contact, I was given a long exercise to complete within three weeks. Following that, there was one interview round, and I heard back about the decision ten days later.
- Could you describe how you would approach developing a new product?
Product Manager
It was a good experience. It started with a home assignment where I had to pick a company or product and answer some questions and share my ideas.
- What feature would you add to a given product?
