First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lightning eMotors.
Senior Electrical and Electronics Systems Engineer
I had a tight deadline to find my next role, and Lightning was fantastic because they understood my urgency and acted fast. They were also really accommodating with my unique immigration situation and kept the lines of communication open about it. The whole process was incredibly quick, and they were one of the first to extend an offer out of all the companies I was interviewing with. Even though it was my top choice technically and based on future growth potential, I had to accept another offer due to personal reasons. It's a great team with great people, and I'd definitely consider reaching out to them again in the future.
- Can you discuss your past experience?
- What are some core electrical concepts you understand?
- Would you be open to relocating to Colorado?
Full Stack Developer
We started with a basic HR interview to get a feel for who you are. After that, you meet the hiring manager for a very informal chat about your technical skills.
- Do you have experience with database design?
Engineering Manager
Had a phone screen, then an interview with the director, followed by a couple of group team interviews with other engineering managers and engineers. Overall it was a good experience, and the staff were friendly and easy to communicate with.
- In what ways does your background align with the requirements of this position?
Engineering Manager
The people were really nice. This company is growing super fast, and they have some growing pains like moving offices a lot. The building isn't owned, so they might have to move the business because they could outgrow the current spot.
- Can you tell me about your previous experience that's relevant to this role?
- What do you know about the industry?
