First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lighthouse Behavioral Health Center.
Clinician
It was a same-day interview. First, I met with a staff supervisor/team lead. Then, I met with the CEO along with the team lead to go over the job role and answer some standard interview questions. The CEO and supervisor inquired about my knowledge of IIH and its general purpose, as well as the unique non-traditional therapy format that sets it apart from OP therapy settings. The process concluded with a background check.
- Given several case scenarios, provide treatment planning with goals/objectives based on presenting issues.
- Discuss your understanding of IIH and its typical purpose.
- Explain the non-traditional therapy format of IIH and how it differs from OP therapy settings.
Social Worker
It was a zoom interview that was relaxed and comfortable. My training, experience, and education were discussed. My answers were jotted down. The possible job duties were explained in great detail and any questions I had were answered.
- Can you describe an ethical dilemma you encountered in your previous work?
Mental Health Counselor
I spoke on the phone with the program director. She asked about my background, my reasons for wanting this job, my 5-year outlook, and my aspirations. They're really keen on experience with kids, which I don't have much of, my background is more with adults dealing with mental health and substance abuse. The day after, the agency sent over a mock case study needing a treatment plan. I had the weekend to finish and submit that.
- Can you describe your experience?
- What makes you want this role?
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Social Worker
The first step was a skype call that lasted about 45 minutes. After that, I had a brief 15 minute phone chat with the director. About a week after talking to the director, they gave me a job offer.
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
- What are your weaknesses?
- Describe your experience with case studies.
