The company felt unprofessional and unengaged. It seemed like they had a good team environment but there were issues within the corporation. The interviewer was not interested in speaking to me and you could tell was just trying to check off a box.

It started with a phone interview with HR for a senior role, along with other candidates. Then there was a video interview with a high-level person. A few days later, HR informed me that the original senior role had been filled. They then asked me to interview for a different senior role with another high-level person. The video interview went smoothly on my end, although the interviewer attempted to provoke me with a Python coding challenge, but it didn't work. The interviewer seemed unhappy and gave a fake smile. It was clearly intended to be a Python coding test, not SQL. The whole interview felt like a setup. Interestingly, the original senior role reappeared on Indeed shortly after, contradicting the 'taken' status. HR has a pattern of missing calls and not being truthful. They claimed to be a startup, but their parent company is a known failure with many negative reviews and has since dissolved. This interview process indicated they haven't changed their old ways and are still disorganized internally. It felt like a waste of time.

The interview process was quick and simple. I had two interviews with two senior people in the Marketing Department, and they were both really nice. They asked smart questions and kept the interviews casual. They explained company strategies and future plans, and how this role would help them. I was really impressed by them. They were passionate about their jobs and knew a lot about marketing strategy. I asked about negative reviews, and they talked about them openly, which was great. They said the company is growing and bought some older companies, and some employees weren't happy about moving to a more corporate setup. They also said they take employee complaints seriously and are working to fix any dissatisfaction. I got a good offer with a great salary and benefits. But I took a counteroffer from my current job instead. I hope that's not a bad choice! I'd tell anyone to apply here, it's a big opportunity!

I had an initial 30min phone screen with the recruiter, followed by a 30min zoom interview with 3 QA folks. I was supposed to have a 3rd round, a 1.5hr zoom with the rest of the team, but I couldn't make it because of scheduling issues. The recruiter said she'd follow up but never did.
