Registered Nurse
Got a call from the recruiter pretty quick. She did a short phone interview with about 5 questions like asking about my past jobs, why I wanna work here, my 5-year plan, and if the salary was okay. Then I had an in-person interview with two team members, one from HR and a manager. They were really nice and made me feel comfortable. The whole thing took about 45 minutes, and we talked more about the job afterward. They asked like 12-15 questions total. The last step was a chat with a mobile manager to go over my day-to-day duties and scheduling. They offered me the job right after.
- How would a former employer describe your work ethic if we contacted them?
- Tell me about a situation where you had a disagreement with your Supervisor and how you resolved it.
Operations Manager
I was contacted by a friendly screener, who was covering for someone on vacation, and then I was invited to a panel interview at their office, which seemed new and had a nice receptionist. The three-person panel was late, with the primary interviewer arriving over 15 minutes late and the others up to ten minutes later. The questions themselves were pretty standard and behaviorally focused, nothing too out of the ordinary. What was weird, though, was when one of the panelists, who was introduced as ex-military and seemed unfriendly from the start, literally just glared at me for almost a minute near the end. I thought maybe he'd say something, but he didn't, so I looked away and then looked back, and he was still staring intensely. I decided to just focus on the other two interviewers. He never made eye contact with me again, even when I shook hands goodbye. It was definitely an odd experience. The whole process was slow, and the HR contact didn't communicate much before or after, and didn't seem to like follow-ups. I did find out they ended up hiring someone internally. It seems like there's a lot of turnover there, as I saw the same job posted again a few months later and again after that. Honestly, it might have been a good thing I didn't get the job, even though the work sounded appealing.
- Were the questions basic and mostly behaviorally-based?
Donor Technician
So I applied online and then a week later someone from the agency called me for an interview. It was a one on one. The vibe was really chill. They asked me like 10 questions. They said they'd let me know. Then I got a call to come in to sign for my background check and got an appointment for a drug test and physical. I started pretty quickly after everything cleared, under 2 weeks.
- What makes you a strong candidate for this agency?
Sales Representative
I applied through Indeed and a recruiter from HR gave me a call. Then I had a phone interview. After that, they asked me to come in for an interview with the manager and the District Manager. I got the offer later that week from HR.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered a challenging situation in sales?
- Describe a time when you had to convince a reluctant customer.
