Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LifeLine Ambulance (CA).
EMT
It's a standard process. They had me come down to the Santa Ana office to talk with the supervisor. Make sure you bring your resume or anything else that supports your application. The interview took about 20 minutes. At the end, they asked about my availability. I got an offer a day or two later.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
- How does your experience relate to the requirements of this role?
EMT-Basic
I showed up and only waited about 10 minutes. I talked to the Ops Manager and it was all done in under 40 minutes. It was a straightforward process and I got a job offer the same day.
- Can you tell me about yourself and what your availability is?
EMT
First there was a little exam which wasn't too hard, and after it was graded, I had an interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager was nice but still professional, and she made the interview pretty chill so it wasn't too stressful.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What are your goals for the next 5 years?
EMT
You walk into the lobby, and there's a quick assessment of basic EMT knowledge, followed by a short group interview, depending on how many people are interviewing. If you're the only one, I'm guessing it's a one-on-one. The questions are pretty straightforward and easy to answer.
- Tell me about a time you dealt with a stressful situation.
