I had a phone interview that I felt went pretty well, especially since I have several years of experience in this field. However, after the interview, there was absolutely no follow-up or response to my message about what the next steps were or if I was still being considered. Out of all the companies I interviewed with (I'm now working somewhere else), this was by far the worst experience I had regarding communication from recruitment. It seemed like maybe the position was put on hold or wasn't filled for a while for some reason, but it would be appreciated if candidates who showed interest received an email rejection or at least some kind of communication. I saw a different position open up later and considered applying, but I decided against it because of this experience. It would be great if you treated candidates better, even if it's just with a simple 'thanks but no thanks' email.

I put in my application through the company website in March 2016. Roughly four weeks later, I got a call for a phone screen. The HR department was swamped with new hires and filling job openings, so I didn't hear back about the next steps for another 2-3 weeks after that initial chat. I kept in touch weekly with HR through gentle reminders! Luckily, I was invited back for an in-person meeting with the Director and Senior Program Manager of Hospital Developments, which lasted about 45 minutes. It went so well that the very next day, I was asked back for a final panel interview and a presentation, which took about 4 hours.

I applied online and then had a phone interview with a recruiter two weeks later which I thought went well. The recruiter mentioned she would pass my application to the hiring manager and that I should hear from them the next week. It's now been over a month and I still haven't heard back. I also emailed the recruiter for an update but got no response. I'm pretty disappointed by the lack of communication, even a rejection email would have been appreciated. I think LifeCenter should improve their communication with candidates who are really interested in the company, especially when they give the impression the process is going well. We expect professionalism and it's disheartening that this seems to be a pattern with a company like this.
