Technical Behavioral Presentation

The interview process involved an aptitude test, followed by an HR round, and then a final round with senior management. The HR round focused on your profile and your knowledge of stem cells. The senior management round assessed your overall interest in joining the firm. The aptitude test covered verbal, logical, and quantitative skills, and also tested selling skills. They gauged your overall interest in the new upcoming field.

Behavioral Technical

After applying, I got an email about two months later for an interview. I went to the facility and met with four people: the hiring manager, two process engineer leads, and the person I'd be working with directly. I talked to each of them about my resume, background, skills, and strengths/weaknesses, pretty standard questions. I also got a tour of the Branchburg site before leaving.

HR contacted me about a temporary assistant scientist opening. HR was really nice and personable. The hiring manager was very direct and just wanted to know if I was able to talk and learn. Two other people interviewed me and asked a lot about my resume; they didn't really ask anything behavioral. I heard back from HR within a week, accepted the offer, and started in two weeks.

Behavioral

The interview process at LifeCell is pretty standard. It starts with a phone screen with HR, then an onsite interview with HR and people from the product group. After that, there's no follow-up. It seems like they might not be actively hiring right now, maybe focusing on profitability before an IPO. I've seen the same job openings on their site for a while, and they never seem to get filled. It's unclear if this is to impress investors, for HR to stay busy, or to evaluate candidates for potential hiring after an IPO. So, I consider this more of a 'practice' interview.

Given the expectations for the role, which required subject matter expertise, there were certainly many technical questions, although I don't recall the specifics.
