Liberty University Interview Questions
& Process

The interview took place at the front desk. Primarily, it involved behavioral questions about me and some questions on how to troubleshoot basic computer issues. It's also important to be ready to ask them some questions.

The interview process involved an initial HR screening, followed by a one-hour behavioral interview with the hiring manager. Then there was a project takeaway round, and finally, a round that combined project discussion and technical/behavioral questions. I was offered the position but ultimately accepted a better offer.

We had a group interview on Microsoft Teams with 4 other candidates and 2 managers. They took turns asking us all the same questions, rotating who went first each time. The questions were pretty straightforward. The managers were really friendly and made us all feel comfortable, like we weren't competing. The whole thing lasted a bit over an hour, including intros, the questions, talking more about Liberty and the job, and final questions. It was a pretty easy interview, honestly, felt more like a fun team meeting at the end.

The whole interview process took nearly a month, which included completing some writing samples for university events. After that went well, I had a phone interview. I thought it went pretty well, but then they asked what questions I had for them. I asked about the work environment and if working from home was an option when sick. This was before Covid, but one person sounded annoyed and asked if not being able to work from home would be an issue for me. Overall, I felt like things got lost in translation over the phone, and the whole experience was just really awkward. An in-person or video call would have been better. Despite this, they ghosted me even though I had been emailing one of the interviewers for weeks.
