I applied for this job wanting a change after six years working professionally. The role was a bit above entry-level, but I was enthusiastic and professional. The hiring process included three virtual interviews, a written and Excel exam, and then an in-person interview. It seemed like a lot for the role, but I was ready to put in the work. The people I met were nice and made me feel like I was doing well. When I got the exam to do on my own, I spent about two hours making sure my answers were good and correct. Then I did the in-person interview and was told I'd hear back in a week. Two weeks went by with no word, so I followed up and was told they needed more time. I said I understood, but after that, I never heard anything back. No update, no decision, not even a quick email saying I didn't get it. I know not everyone gets an offer, but the lack of follow-up and basic courtesy was annoying. The long process took a lot of my time and energy, but the company didn't even bother to give me closure. It's a shame a company would treat people like this, especially after making them go through such a tough process. I hope they actually listen to this and get better at communicating with candidates. People deserve to be treated with respect and honesty, even if they don't get the job.

I had a screening call with a really nice in-house recruiter. After that, I had a Zoom interview with someone more senior than the hiring manager. They explained the role well, answered my questions, and were upfront about the challenges involved. They asked me about my background in community and crisis communications.

Applied online on a Wednesday night, Liberty Healthcare called the next day for a phone interview. On Friday, I was asked to schedule an interview at the hospital, and I chose to do it that Monday. Two people interviewed me and hired me on the spot. I guess the process was short because they really needed people.

First there was an initial screening over zoom, then a panel interview also via zoom. After that they requested my references. Then I was ghosted for weeks. Then I received a vague email that strung me along. After several more weeks of ghosting, they finally told me I wasn't chosen.

  • Can you tell me about your experience working with people with disabilities?
