Incident Manager
I was contacted by email several times by HR and the Senior HR person. We scheduled initial calls, but they were missed. The second attempt to schedule also resulted in a missed call. The third time worked out. I didn't find the person on the phone to be friendly or professional, they seemed very rushed and only wanted to hear specific keywords.
- Explain how you are a good fit for this position.
Management Trainee
Sent my CV and cover letter, got contacted 2 months later for an ability test and a HR phone interview. Then invited to an assessment center. It had a case study to be solved in teams, a presentation of that case study with questions, and a series of statements about the company with which we had to agree/disagree. The case study was about the financial statements of the company and their market evolution. For that, I recommend reading the financial chapter of the annual report, comparing the balance sheet items with other similar firms, knowing their stock price and something about their strategy (mobile development is key for the next couple of years). The next day, there was a 1 to 1 interview with the Finance VP. It mostly tested my finance knowledge, like classical accounting questions like 'How would you record a sale when the customer pays at the end of the month?
- What is your motivation for working at Liberty Global?
- Could you describe your responsibilities during your prior internships?
- Share an instance of a conflict you experienced with a coworker.
Manager
There are three interviews, though it depends on the role. It starts with a phone call, then two in-person meetings, one with HR. The recruiter handles everything from setting up the interviews to the job offer. If you're traveling from overseas, they cover your expenses even if you don't get the job. They also give you a one-time payment to help you settle in and a place to stay for the first month.
- Could you please draw on a flip chart to explain your professional background?
