I feel like I spent a lot of money to get this job, more than ever before with LGI. I really wanted this position even though I lived in VA. The recruiter was great and I felt like I had to fly out to Ft. Worth for an "Info Session/Hiring Event." The event had a good vibe, and everyone there got a quick interview. There were about 65 candidates, but the company made it clear they were only hiring 6 people at that moment. The pressure was on for candidates to really stand out. After the event, I was invited back for another interview with the Regional Director of Operations and a local Sales Manager. This interview was very straightforward and focused a lot on a personality test I had taken online and at the event. I have to say, the test results were very accurate. Be prepared to discuss your achievements and difficulties as a sales professional. About a week later, I was asked back to observe the process at a sales site, and then I was offered the job. The whole process took a while but was very thorough.

It was different than any I had ever experienced. There were two candidates, myself and another gentleman, and the interview started with both of us together with two representatives from LGI. The first 20 to 30 minutes was with the LGI reps telling us about the company, their history, culture, mission statement and successes. Then we split up and went one on one. The rest of the interview was interesting, informative, and a lot of fun for me. My rep was going over my psychological test with me and making sure I felt the answers of the test described me. It was very close to being spot on. It wasn’t a typical interview where the rep of the company was asking you questions about yourself, your work history or your career successes so much as it was a give and take about work style.

Fifty people came to a hiring event for about 3 or 4 job openings. First, the area sales VP gave a presentation about the company, and some current managers were there too. After the presentation, we all filled out a survey and then had a quick 5-minute one-on-one interview.
