Applied for a Sales Manager role in two cities and was invited to a recruiting event. I got an email from my recruiter about 2 weeks prior asking if I was still interested in a sales rep and/or sales manager position in one of the cities. I responded that I was interested in the sales manager role and asked if it was still available in the other city I applied to. She said yes, 3 days before the event, and that both were still available. I went to the recruiting event, and to my surprise, they weren't hiring for either sales manager position. They even announced the new sales manager for one of the cities I had applied for. Looks like a good company, but there's miscommunication between managers, available positions, and HR.
