Product Manager
Went through 3 phases: recruiter screener, then hiring manager chat, then a panel presentation with 7-8 people (10 invited). Only met the hiring manager before the panel. It was a bit intimidating, but realistic for the role. Everyone was nice. For a big panel, there weren't many questions. It wasn't too corporate, which was good. The teams are big, and a lot of ICs are involved. The product isn't exciting or innovative, and the complexity doesn't match the team size. Feels like the job might have a lot of red tape and unnecessary stakeholders. Overall, it was as expected, not too stiff but not super comfortable.
- What's your approach when there's conflict between product and engineering?
Product Manager
I applied online through LinkedIn on December 3rd. I matched 8 out of 10 skills and met all the requirements listed, including the Advanced Agile Scrum Product Owner and Pragmatic Marketing Certification, so I thought I was a good fit. After applying, I got an automated email from Rick asking me to answer 17 questions to be considered. I spent a lot of time writing detailed answers about my product experience, methodologies, presentation skills, certifications, and the products I've worked on, using the STAR method. However, I never heard back or got any response from the company. It's a shame they didn't even acknowledge the time I put into the application and the extensive "prescreening" questions. It's disappointing, but honestly, not that surprising given what others have said on Glassdoor.
- Tell me about your experience with Advanced Agile Scrum Product Owner.
- What's your experience with Pragmatic Marketing Certification?
- Can you give examples of your product experiences in STAR format?
Product Manager
Applied through LinkedIn. The process was smooth, with two Senior Product Managers conducting the interviews. The questions focused mainly on my resume and past experiences. The interviewers were welcoming and easy to communicate with. I'd suggest thoroughly reviewing your projects before the interview.
- Can you describe your experience with A/B testing?
