Felt comfortable during the interview, able to speak freely. It seems like there will be a lot of tasks, with some floating to other clinic locations. Pay wasn't discussed until the second interview with HR.

I thought the interview went fine. They even emailed me a few hours later to do a background check and send in 5 references that I know were good. I’m certified for the job. But even after all of that, I still didn’t get the job, yet it’s still posted on their website. This place is a joke.

There were two interviewers for this position. They asked a lot of questions about how I handle conflict and criticism, and wrote down my answers. The hospital is really big with lots of different units, and the med surg units are divided into many patient types. Everyone was really nice and answered all my questions.

The hiring process was quite long. I had standard HR questions where I felt like I was repeating myself. The interview had good questions and discussion, but it felt like my input wasn't really considered in the end. I declined the offer due to compensation. The first offer was less than my current salary, the second was also less, and the third offer just matched my current salary. I have experience, so this wasn't a new grad negotiation. They mentioned additional work like call was 'built-in' with no extra compensation. They did offer an RVU bonus, but nobody could explain the bonus structure well enough to give a clear idea of potential earnings. I declined because of the compensation issues, what seemed like a distracting hiring process, and a disconnect between HR and the actual practice.
